'Mississippi Minstrels'

Our first production for 2012, Mississippi Minstrels, will be a musical variety show in a style similar to what used to be known as a Black and White Minstrel show. This production will be helmed by first time director for the Club Rod Mayes, and will be staged over three shows on March 16^th and 17^th, with auditions being held at 7pm at the Pinjarra Civic Centre on Monday 9 January.

The emphasis will be on songs from the deep South, with plantation songs, Gershwin numbers, negro spirituals and some Broadway show songs from the musical Showboat amongst the entertaining mix. Soloists, and performers for duets and some comedy skits are required. Rod will also be looking for a Master of Ceremonies at the auditions to bind the evening together with audience banter, introductions and jokes. To obtain an audition pack phone Rod on 9534 9859. Rehearsals for this production will be predominantly held on Tuesday and Thursday nights at the Pinjarra Civic Centre. 'All 4 One'

Our first major musical theatre production for 2012, All 4 One is the story of The Three Musketeers and The Man In The Iron Mask. With handsome musketeers defending the King against the villainous Cardinal, this story is sure to enthrall! Auditions will be held Monday 30 January at 7.30pm at the Pinjarra Civic Centre.
